Steve Avery Division

(A)
Git r Done
LaFountain
Kick Ass Team

There are a lot of unknowns in the Steve Avery Division. Git r Done is the only returning team in this group. Git r Done has a bitter taste in their mouth from last year’s tournament, but captain Pearson has retooled his team for this year’s run. Both other teams here are new to downriver wiffle tournaments. LaFountain is known to have ties to the strong contenders in Sowa's team from the Andy Greene Division, so one may assume they play a similar level game, but that would just be conjecture at this point. Constanti's team are softball players, so money may be on them bringing some big bats and offense with them into the tournament. Pitching in the Steve Avery Division is a complete question mark as even the returning Git r Done will have a rookie toeing the rubber for them this June.

Round Robin Schedule:
10:30am - LaFountain @ Git r Done - North Field
11:05am - Git r Done @ Kick Ass Team - North Field
12:15pm - Kick Ass Team @ LaFountain - South Field

Andy Greene Division

(G)
Wiffling DeLoppies
Brooks Bombers
District 5

The Andy Greene Division may very well be the most competitive in the tournament; it is for sure filled with strong contenders, comprised entirely of team's that finished in the top 5 last August!* Joseph Sowa’s team finished 3rd last tournament, with the DeLoppies right behind them. Brooks Bombers had the highest run total in a game last tournament with 12, and a team slugging percentage of .505. Sowa’s team had the highest team slugging percentage at .615. The DeLoppies play a more defensive minded game with strong pitching from captain Chad Hoppe, who had an ERA of 1.54 and a 1.77 WHIP last August. Pre-tournament talk is favorable that the Rally Around the Flag-a-Palooza champion will come from the Andy Greene Division.

* In fact, without Clownshoes or the Donkeys participating, the Andy Greene Division is made up of the top 3 teams returning! = Division of Death, or Division of History.

Round Robin Schedule:
10:30am - Brooks Bombers @ Wiffling DeLoppies - South Field
11:40am - District 5 @ Brooks Bombers - North Field
12:15pm - Wiffling DeLoppies @ District 5 - North Field

Chester Taylor Division

(T)
Ison
CoCoBuMu
Westside Warriors

The first two selections for the Rally Around the Flag-a-Palooza were drawn into the Chester Taylor Division, and they were both strong contenders dating back to the 2005 beginnings: CoCoBuMu and Clownshoes. Clownshoes are the returning champions led by a duo of powerful pitching arms in Eric Falletich and Dave Gapske. CoCoBuMu is the new team of downriver wiffle founder, Carl Coffee, which he hopes with a tight defensive style and close, low scoring games will get him playing in the championship game again. The Westside Warriors are unknown, coming from Farmington to play on the 26th. They’ve been given a tough draw, but will definitely get the full immersion Wiffle experience playing in the Chester Taylor Division where runs will be hard to come by.

Update: Brian Ison has formed a team to replace Clownshoes after their withdrawal from the tournament. This change definitely affects the look of this division, but Ison's impact on this now wide-open tournament is anxiously awaited.

Round Robin Schedule:
11:05am - CoCoBuMu @ Stinky Balls - South Field
11:40am - Westside Warriors @ CoCoBuMu - South Field
12:50pm - Stinky Balls @ Westside Warriors - North Field
